FL[ight]CL

Hey everyone! It's been an unforgivably long while since my first post so I do apologize. I've decided to download a trial of Photoshop because I've missed the convenience of digital painting. Unfortunately my colouring and sketching abilities leave something to be desired. This is a post for the Thread on Flight. (If you're wondering why - it's because she's flying off a cliff!). Anyhow i hope to be able to at least put a few posts up in the next little bit while i have this trial. All your posts have been great!

Challenge 6: Flight

Oops! I just noticed that I didn't actually post anything for the flight challenge even though I did something! I wanted to add a city background behind this guy but I guess I got side tracked somewhere along the line.

Challenge 6: Flight

This is a bird I used to ALWAYS draw back when I was in elementary school. Just thought it fits into the 'flight' topic. :) Okay, I am catching back up on the challenges...3 more!

Challenge 6: Flight

I also like the idea of flight as I'm sure the vast majority of people would like to fly.

This is just a quick image I thought of. I'm kinda busy with stuff so that's why its not coloured beyond a matte.

Challenge 6: Flight

And just to be sure i made sure i got something out on flight.
This is charlie, and when u say flight i think of the joy he gets when he flies cause i imagine myself flying.
Charlie:ChapterOne

I'll do more flight ones cause its one of my favorite topics.

Challenge 6: Flight

This is a toy plane from an old board game that I used to play with my cousins. I never knew what the game was called, haha~ but you end up brutally sabotaging the people that you're playing against! So although it looks cute.. it's pretty evil.

On another note, this film is actually what I thought of first when I read the challenge title. I saw it at TIFF last year and it was a wonderfully epic piece of animation. The website is in Japanese but you can view the movie trailer on the right hand side of the main page.

On yet another note... I still owe a submission for fortune tellers!

Challenge 6: Flight

Good evening League Members,

The next challenge is FLIGHT.

What is the first thing that comes to your mind when you think of flight? Do you imagine yourself soaring through the air propelled by a magical force? Or do you see yourself behind the the joystick of a slick aircraft breaking the sound barrier? Or perhaps you've just robbed a bank and are high-tailing it out of there! Whatever your take is on flight, let's have a look!

Take a nice, deep breath, close your eyes and dive into this one :)

This challenge will end on January 26th, 2009.
